My passion and interest in beauty began long before my career. Growing up, I never wanted to be anything but a makeup artist. For as long as I can remember, I have enjoyed taking care of others and knew from a young age I wanted to help others feel beautiful.
In 2008, shortly after finishing high school, I graduated from Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics as an esthetician and certified makeup artist. Since then, I have continued my education by attending on-trend classes for both makeup and skincare. During the first ten years of my career as a beautician, I worked for Sephora – a global leader in cosmetics. In addition to working for Sephora, I worked at a salon in a Boston suburb for several years before branching out on my own alongside clients whom I’ve built strong, life-long friendships with. That new, exciting career move – Amy Kimberly Beauty – happened in 2016.
My goal ten years ago rings true today – to enhance the beauty of each client through their natural beauty; to make each individual client feel confident in their skin; and to provide quality and expertise in makeup and/or skincare.
Amy Kimberly Beauty has given me the opportunity to fulfill my dreams, but it has also given me so much more. I get to work as a freelance makeup artist; focus on my clients, which is incredibly rewarding; do what I love; and meet some incredible people along the way. One of the most rewarding opportunities? When a bride chooses me to be a part of her wedding day. I feel exceptionally honored and it brings me great joy being able to make her feel confident and beautiful during one of the most memorable days in her life.
